The SHAFTED SYSTEM involves the axle being placed between 2 pieces of thermopane glass sheets. To do so a tiny hole is punched through one sheet of glass to lead in the axle system.To prevent moisture and dust from entering the glass the hole is closed tight with a special padding which helps retain the venetian blind from all naturel and human harm and prevent dust , wear and tear.Producing the venetians between Thermopane glass plates insures isolation from heat and sound which is a bonus.
With the exception of SUNSET brand venetian blinds your venetians will look like they did the first day even after years of use.
